On all of my wedding inquiries I ask “What is your favorite book or movie?” Julie answered Lord of the Rings, Narnia, or Game of Thrones and I may or may not have squealed a little. I don’t talk about it a lot but my husband and I love LOTR (I mean we went to New Zealand to see the set) and after talking to Julie, I knew she was going to be such a fun bride to work with.
And I was right! I got to photography Julie and Ben a few months back and it was so wonderful. You can view their sweet engagement session here.
Oh. And then she hit me with, “Oh, by the way, I’m actually designing my own dress. It’s inspired by LOTR and GOT.” – EXCUSEEEEE ME!? How stinkin’ cool is that?! When I say November 22nd couldn’t get here fast enough I mean it.
Unfortunately, it was rainy outside but that didn’t matter and certainly didn’t take away from how beautiful the day was. You could feel the love in the air and everything about their day was so simply sweet.
From the hand-fasting ceremony, to the hilarious toasts, to the most delicous cake I’ve ever had, to the insanely amazing dancing – this wedding had it all!
Julie & Ben – It was an honor to photograph your day and to work with you both. Thank you for trusting me with these memories! I had a really hard time reducing the number of photos on the blog but I figured that wasn’t really a problem 😉
