Back in October 2016 I photographed a wedding in Charlotte, NC. Hannah and Joel were members of the wedding party and I may or may not have super subtly told them that they should totally hire me for their wedding whenever it was to occur.
Just over two years later Hannah popped up in my inbox asking about photographing their wedding outside St. Louis, MO! I replied to her email at 11pm and the rest is history!
After what feels like forever (I mean, doesn’t time creep by when you are waiting for something exciting?!), it was finally time to head to Missouri to see these two beautiful people and celebrate all weekend! This couple and their families hold a special place in my heart and it was just about to burst all weekend. Joel and Hannah get my sarcasm and were willing to do just about whatever I asked.
Joel and Hannah had so many personal touches – Bride and Groom Build-a-Bears, heirlooms jewelry from grandparents, and coffee for the guests to take home. Their programs for the ceremony were HILARIOUS so be sure to zoom in on that! The day was pretty chilly (I mean, I’m from the South so anything under 50* is cold) but it was sunny and we had all off Innsbrook Resort at our disposal – party bus included!
I could go on and on about the weekend but I really just wanna say – Joel & Hannah – I adore you both. I am so honored that you wanted to fly myself and Robin out to Missouri to photograph your day. I’m super awkward in person when it comes to the mushy stuff but I think y’all are the bees knees and I’m so stinkin’ grateful to be a part of your day. Y’all are the best.
