I thought long and hard about what I wanted to write for this post. I wanted to tell y’all about the pink headed beauty who is so much more than my trusted 2nd shooter. I wanted to talk about how she told me that this was her families first ever family session. In 34 years. I wanted to tell you about the man who spent decades in the military and fell in love with a funny & strong woman while in Germany. I wanted to tell you about the beautiful property these three call home.
So much I wanted to tell you. But no matter how many time I have tried to write this post, I can’t find the “right” words. I consider myself a pretty decent wordsmith (with a spelling problem) so sure, I could write some sweet, eloquent post but I promise you I wouldn’t be able to really tell you about this family.
I’m going to tell you the blunt truth. That pink headed girl? That’s Robin. She is one of the strongest women I know. She is funny. And giving. And so full of love.
But for the sake of being transparent, her dad isn’t doing so great. Combined with the stress of giving his entire life to our country, his health hasn’t been on his side. Robin gave up a lot to move back home to assist her parents not only on the farm, but with their family business. So, instead of telling you some sweet backstory or just how much I love Robin, I am asking for y’all to pray for this sweet family. Tough days are behind them and ahead.
And I’m going to ask you to take a moment to enjoy these photos. I’ve gotten to be apart of some pretty amazing things in the last 9 years of business but this session comes in as one of my favorites.
I am sobbing tears of gratitude for the blessing you are in and bring to my life.
I love you too lady <3
Thank you for taking these lovely pictures of such a wonderful family. You have captured their love, strength and devotion to each other and their ranch.
Thank you! It really was an honor to be asked by Robin!
You have made a huge difference in our lives with your pictures and this story. Being photographed is not something that comes easy to Charles or me, but you made it easy. We will treasure these photos in years to come. Thank you Mary.
Thank you allowing me to come to the farm to photograph y’all! It was wonderful!
